HANDLOOM ARTISTS OF RAKCHHAM

The weaving tradition in Kinnaur is an age-old practice which is famous for its finesse.  The handicrafts woven on traditional handlooms are known for their distinct style and beautiful borders. It takes months of painstaking hard work and devotion to complete a single artefact. Sheep wool is used to weave various types of fabrics including Chhali, Lingchey, Shawls, Dohru, Golband and more.

Hi! I'm Jyotika. I am a traditional and embroidery artist. Most of my work is a mix of various drawing media. My personal work depicts portraits of endangered species.
